Sustainability performance in 2024

At Tubing Food, we are highly committed to environmental sustainability, which is why we work year after year to reduce our ecological footprint. In 2024, we have implemented several improvements that we would like to share with you:

Reduction of CO₂ emissions into the atmosphere
Thanks to the use of 100% renewable electricity with a certified guarantee of origin, in 2024 Tubing Food has emitted zero CO₂ into the atmosphere from electricity consumption.

We have also managed to reduce CO₂ emissions related to waste management: there has been a 12.21% reduction in CO₂ Equivalent Tons from the generation of non-recoverable waste (which has the highest emission factor).

Zero CO₂ emissions from refrigerant gas leaks
In 2024, no air conditioning gas leaks were detected in the inspections carried out. Since there were no leaks, there were no gas emissions into the atmosphere.

Reduction of shipments through logistics centralization
Since 2020, we have been working intensively to optimize our logistics operations. By centralizing goods dispatches, we have achieved a 42.86% reduction in the total number of shipments, leading to a corresponding reduction in CO₂ emissions.

Reduction in electricity and plastic consumption
Thanks to good practices and internal awareness initiatives, we have managed to reduce electricity consumption by 1.29% compared to last year and plastic consumption by 6.82%.

Progressive reduction in paper consumption per employee since 2019
In 2019, we launched a series of internal awareness campaigns regarding paper consumption in the company. These campaigns have been successful, as from 2019 to 2024, we have reduced paper consumption per employee by 75%.

Centralization and localization of equipment component suppliers
We have worked on centralizing purchases from local suppliers of equipment components. This strategy has led to order grouping and fewer supplier visits, contributing to a reduction in CO₂ emissions.

Reusing compact cardboard tubes
In 2024, we continue to separate compact cardboard tubes from shrink films so that our supplier can reuse them.

Continuous improvement in waste separation
This year, we have continued working on waste separation. Some of the materials we select for recycling include paper and cardboard from offices, batteries, toner, iron, aluminum, oil, plastic, fluorescent tubes, light bulbs, sprays, and aerosols, among others.
